The Melbourne Airport Primary Data Centre houses servers and data equipment to service Melbourne Airport many electronic facilities. Construction is of a single storey structure comprising of precast concrete walls, ground floor slab and suspended concrete roof top.
A Kyoto Cooling Unit imported from Holland sits on the roof top platform and services the building with it cooling requirements. Building layout consists of Main Switch Room, Entry Foyer, Store Room and the Main Data Hall Rack Room. The Data Centre’s services incorporate a complex system of electrical and data/communications which is vital to the Airports increasing infrastructures.
