Walton Interiors was responsible for the fitout of three departments within the Common User Satellite area within the Brisbane Domestic Terminal. 

All works were carried out in the security restricted zone ‘Airside’ environment.  The project required detailed coordination and planning with all personnel on site required to have an ASIC pass or be escorted by someone with an ASIC pass. All deliveries to site also required an escort that needed to be pre-booked. 

Walton believes that experienced and dedicated onsite staff were key to the successful outcome of this project and not only closely monitored the work zone ensuring safety and security was paramount at all times but monitored strict facilitation of deliveries and waste removal.  Extensive out of hours work was scheduled within the program to accommodate this.

The interior fitout works involved the demolition of existing walls, installation of partitions, joinery, flooring and glazing and well as electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and security services. Jetstar staff within the Express Ground Handling, Line Maintenance Engineering and Cabin Crew departments now have a new locker room, kitchen, general office and meeting room and store room facilities.
