The Wugoon Umo Permanent Camp for Santos, 200kms northeast of Roma, has seen Walton Construction gain integral operational knowledge in the construction of remote accommodation facilities, enabling us to significantly reduce project timeframes.  The timely delivery of early trades and materials, including design management, is critical to the overall success of remote projects and our team manages the procurement phase using a comprehensive project plan and master construction schedule.

This permanent remote accommodation campus includes lodging for 80 people, recreational and sporting facilities, commercial kitchen and dining room, administration offices and required the establishment of services and civil infrastructure.

Coal Services Mining Rescue Training Centre

Project Value: $14.3 M | Completed: 2008

Mining training and support centre, this project is a complex and interesting design consisting of tunnels, mazes, and ramps that will be used as a mine shaft simulator to prepare for ledge fall hazards, overhead rock falls, gas leaks, fire and flooding. Storage areas for emergency equipment and vehicles, administration offices, onsite doctor and nurses station, practical training rooms and a 60 car park lot were also constructed.
