The Environmental Protection Authority relocated into a previously vacated tenancy at the Herald & Weekly Times Tower at Southgate. As a testimony to the Authority's charter and sensitivity to environmental issues, they were able to reuse some of the original fit-out scheme including offices and boardroom areas while introducing their own workstation and specialist area requirements.
Walton Construction were appointed to the project on a lump sum basis. The overwhelming achievement in the delivery of this project was undoubtedly the speed with which it was completed - just 12 weeks - especially when there were a considerable number of changes made to enhance the appearance and function of the project.
The three and a half floors (3,700 square metres) of tenancy, included refinishing three tenant lobbies in timber veneer, glass and stone - being indicative of the three major elements in nature - earth, air/water and growth/timber. |
